Can AI Really Do an Astrology Reading? My Thoughts and What I’ve Been Learning

Lately, I’ve been sitting with the question I’ve seen more and more and one I’ve asked myself, of course....

Can AI (ChatGPT, Grok, or others) do a full astrological reading?

As an astrologer, it’s a fair question for our field. I’ve stayed open and curious, attending talks, trainings, and diving into what’s happening in AI, not just in astrology, but across creative and professional industries.

After what I’ve seen in just the past week, my answer has shifted from “possibly” to “yes.” Yes AI can, will, and is already creating full astrology readings. And as it continues to be trained, those readings will only get more detailed and sophisticated. AGAIN These are just my reflections and the way I’m processing and integrating what I’m learning as we all navigate this new landscape together.

In one of the talks I attended, I even learned how to build an app in about 30 minutes, which is wild when you think about how much investment, time, and skill that used to require. It really reminded me of something I felt deeply when Saturn entered Aquarius: that proper business structure and professional certification weren’t just nice ideas for the future. they were the inevitable next step for our field if we are going to set ourselves aside from any old app. I also think there will be some governmental impact around our field in the not so distant future that will require this as well. I'll post more on that later.

That transit always felt like “The Astrologer gets structured.” At the time, I remember bringing up this thought and meeting some pushback, but now, in light of what’s unfolding with AI, I can’t help but feel that structure, education, and certification might actually become our greatest allies.

I’ve been in these streets learning a lot lately, and it’s inspired me to start a blog series here on my website to share what I’m learning about AI, astrology, and how these worlds are blending.

One thing I keep coming back to is this: every video, chart, or post we share online gives AI a chance to learn our craft in a more nuanced way. If it’s learning from all of us (our language, tone, values, and care) then maybe it’s also possible that we’re teaching it ethics and respect too....?

I’m also taking all the necessary steps to obtain my professional certification and have restructured my school so that students can test and certify with recognized bodies as well. To me, this feels like a way to preserve clarity, integrity, and heart-centered excellence in our work as well as future protect our craft.

So if AI can already read charts, where does that leave the astrologer? For me, the answer isn’t fear , it’s structure. It’s integrity. It’s remembering what Saturn in Aquarius began teaching us not long ago.
